Privacy Policy for GameCollector

Last updated: August 12, 2026

GameCollector ("the app") is developed by Patryk Grudzinski ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and your choices.

1. Data stored on your device

The core of GameCollector — your collection entries (game titles, platforms, prices, notes, condition, and cover photos you take) — is stored locally on your device using a local database. This data is not uploaded to or stored on any server we operate. It stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it yourself (see Backup & Export below).

2. Third-party services we use

To provide certain features, the app sends limited data to the following third-party services:

These requests only include the specific search terms or images needed to perform the lookup (e.g. a game title or a photo of a cover) — we do not send your personal identity, contact details, or full collection to these services.

3. Advertising

GameCollector may display advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID) to serve and measure ads. You can reset or limit ad tracking through your device's system settings. Google's AdMob privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

4. Backup & export

The app lets you export your collection data as a file, which you can then share, save, or transfer using your device's normal sharing tools (e.g. email, cloud storage, AirDrop). This export is entirely under your control — we do not receive a copy of it.

5. What we don't collect

GameCollector does not require an account, login, or email address to use. We do not collect your name, precise location, contacts, financial information, or health data.

6. Children's privacy

GameCollector is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your choices

You can deny camera or photo-library access at any time through your device settings, which will disable the cover-scanning feature but not the rest of the app. You can also delete your collection data at any time from within the app or by uninstalling the app.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
